Problem during installation

Postby ninemos » Sat Oct 11, 2008 5:58 pm

Good evening everyone...

I m having a problem while trying to install protext2.2 and more specifically during miktex installation. While extracting files the installation stops abruptly and in the txt log there is the following message:

".......................
extracting files from cool.tar.bz2...
extracting files from gcard.tar.lzma...
extracting files from pstricks-add.tar.lzma...
extracting files from teubner.tar.bz2...
extracting files from dpfloat.cab...
extracting files from bibarts.cab...
extracting files from miktex-hyph-spanish.tar.bz2...
extracting files from breakurl.tar.lzma...
extracting files from ccfonts.cab...

An error occurred:
source file: C:\work3\miktex-2.7\Libraries\MiKTeX\Core\win\winFile.cpp
source line: 710
message: Invalid argument: C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.7\miktex\config\packages.ini
info: C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.7\miktex\config\packages.ini"

does anyone have any idea about how to face this problem apart from formatting my pc?
