word count in TexnicCenter

Hi all,
Is it possible to count the number of words in a .tex file in TexnicCenter? I seem to be unable to find this feature. Can someone suggest if it is possible, if so how?

Also, I would like to know how does the word count work? Does it count the words used in writing a math equation or inserting figures or it just gives the number of words in purely text?
