Remove extra vertical Space between Chapter Entries in ToC

Postby jbgrad » Sat Nov 17, 2012 4:53 am

My ToC should be double-spaced. That is easy enough except that by default (my class is similar to the document class, I think) an extra vertical space is added after the chapter entries.

Is there some command that I can renew or something to remove this space? I would think this should be very easy.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Hi,

welcome to the board!

You could disable that space for example by

  1. \addtocontents{toc}{\protect\renewcommand*\protect\addvspace[1]{}}

If you need this also for the list of figures or list of tables, you could do it similarly or shortened by making a macro from this redefinition.
