Texmaker version 4.0 has been released on March 8, 2013. Now the free cross-platform LaTeX editor bases on Qt5, the latest version of the Qt library which has been released on December 19, 2012.

Enhancements in this version, from the ChangeLog file:Texmaker logo

  • Qt5 support (still compilable with Qt>=4.7.2)
  • New ctrl+shift+F2 keyboard shortcut for toggling between the master document and the current document
  • Now the continuous mode of the internal PDF viewer is no more automatically enabled after a new compilation
  • Unix and Mac OS X users can add an option in the configuration dialog to the lp command (for printing in the internal PDF viewer)
  • A special "quick build command" for Asymptote (.asy) files: if the current document has an .asy extension, with the F1 shortcut this command will be used instead of the standard "quick build command" for the .tex documents; while using the "user tags", @@ will now be replaced by single @
Several bugs have been fixed: compilation trouble with gcc 4.8, a problem with the insertion of an user tag by using a keyboard trigger, and the column count has been corrected.

The complete ChangeLog can be found here. Click here for downloading versions for Linux, Mac OS X or Windows or source files.
