The first Turkish LaTeX book is available for download at CTAN. The book with the title "Adim Adim LaTeX" ("Step by Step LaTeX") has been written by Rakhimov A.A. and Kesemen O. and was first published in 2004. It is the first book in Turkish language which in detail describes (La)TeX.

According to the publishers, the book describes all the important topics like

  • LaTeX Concepts (environments and commands; classes and packages),
  • document structure (counters and length parameters; document and page organisation; pagebreaks, footnotes, etc),
  • environments (listing items; tabular; pictures; figures; tabbing, etc),
  • several packages (amsfont, amsmath, cite, eucal, hyperref, etc),
  • bibliographies and indexes and
  • math topics.

The authors have recently published the the second volume of the book which is available via sale. The main topics of this edition are

  • Graphics with LaTeX
  • The LaTeX Graphics bundle
  • Working with Metafon and MetaPost
  • The world of color
There are plans for the future to also publish this second volume in the internet.
